Seven new vocational trainings for librarians have been launched
Seven trainings for obtaining a professional qualification for the profession of "Librarian" have started in November and December. These trainings are being funded by the " I can do more" scheme of the "Human Resources" Operational Programme and are being held in the towns of Varna, Vidin, Vratsa, Isperih, Pazardjik, Provadia and Targovishte. These trainings include the mentioned areas chitalishta's/ innovative community centers librarians as well.
The trainings are being organized by the Center for professional training, part of the Innovative Community Centers association with the Bulgarian Library and Information association and "Pencho Slaveikov" Public Library, Varna, "Mihalaki Georgiev" Public Library, Vidin, "Hristo Botev" Public Library, Vratsa, "Petya Yordanova" Central Municipality Library, Isperih, "Nikola Furnadjiev" Public Library, Pazardjik, Narodno Chitalishte "Aleko Constantinov", Provadia and "Peter Stapov" Public Library, Targovishte.
In the following 7 months the chitalishta's librarians will spend 600 hours studying the basic subjects of the curriculum: Librarian knowledge basics, Library stacks, Library catalogues, Library service, Library management and organization, etc.
