Learning about mobility with adults using non-formal education
08.10.2015Adult learners over 50 years old will have the chance of taking part on local workshops funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission about mobility and English learning by using non formal education thanks to SEAM.
"SEAM: Social Education of Adults through Mobility" is a two-year strategic partnership at international level coordinated by Asociación Gantalcalá (Spain) with the support of Innovative Community Centres Association (Bulgaria), Diecezni charita Brno (Czech Republic), Passaggi onlus (Italy), Latvian Adult Education Association (Latvia), Municipio de Amarante (Portugal) and Inštitut Antona Trstenjaka za gerontologijo in medgeneracijsko sožitje (Slovenia), and funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commision under its Key Action 2.
Between September 2015 and March 2016, each partner organization will offer to local adults on each partner city (people over 50 years old) different local workshops to train them on transnational mobility opportunities and teach them English and other tools for travelling abroad by using non formal methodologies adapted to the mentioned target group. These local workshops will include different learning units such as team building dynamics, English language exercises, simulations about interculturality, practices about communication, etc. As all the workshops will mix formal and non formal methodologies, adult learners will be able to acquire new competences and skills for travelling away in an easy and flexible way.
Furthermore, adult learners participating on these workshops and finishing them successfully on each country will have the chance of taking part in a training course in March 2016 in Slovenia that will join together participants from the partner countries of the project in order to evaluate the knowledge acquired on the previous months and discover new cultures and traditions thanks to a dynamic programme of activities.
In order to take part on the local workshops of the project that will take place in your country, please contact Innovative Community Centres Association. Deadline for enrolments 16.10.2015.
