The first SEAM project training course in Sofia starts this week

12.07.2015

Representatives and trainers from the seven partner organisations in SEAM will gather together in Sofia (Bulgaria) from the 16th to the 22nd of July to put into practice and evaluate the materials and activities that had been designed in previous stages of the project by the partnership.

The course firstly aims at letting trainers interact with one another as well as learn more about the different methodologies, activities and materials they will have to use to train adults in communication in second languages and intercultural interaction through means of international mobility and promoting their social inclusion by the acquisition of new cultural and/or language skills through formal and non-formal methodologies. Besides this will be a great opportunity to test, find any possible weaknesses and implement the materials before the different organisations start running the SEAM training courses for over-50-year-old adults in their national countries in autumn this year.

Secondly, this gathering will be essential to prepare future stages of the project and, especially useful to get to know the facilities, programmes, activities and good practices carried out by the hosting partner organisation (Innovative Community Centres Association (www.association.bg)), related to sustainable development of the community and adult education through active citizenship, volunteering and key competences.

"SEAM: Social Education of Adults through Mobility" is a two-year strategic partnership at international level coordinated by Asociación Gantalcalá (Spain) with the support of Innovative Community Centres Association (Bulgaria), Diecezni charita Brno (Czech Republic), Passaggi onlus (Italy), Latvian Adult Education Association (Latvia), Municipio de Amarante (Portugal) and Inštitut Antona Trstenjaka za gerontologijo in medgeneracijsko sožitje (Slovenia). Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commision under its Key Action 2.
