Beginning of the project “SEAM: Social Education of Adults through Mobility”

Seven organizational partners the European Union launched the project "Social adult education through mobility" which will be implemented over the next two years. 

Seven new vocational trainings for librarians have been launched

Trainings are being funded by the "I can do more" scheme of the "Human Resources" Operational Programme and are being held in seven different towns

ICCA Launched "The Chitalishtes - An Accessible Training Place" Program

The first program activity marks the start of free of charge basic computer literacy trainings for adults in the Chitalishtes, ICCA members.

The Client of the Key computer competencies training is National Employment Agency and Chief Directorate "Execution of Judgement".

 

Work Meeting of the Members of Innovative Communities Center Association

In the period June 21st - 24th, 2009 in the village of Sinemorec the members of Innovative Community Centers Association (ICCA) held a work meeting. The agenda of the meeting focused on the following topics:

- Analysis of the implementation results from the Association's Program "Exchange of Experience through Practical Training" (spring 2009) and planning of the next Program rounds; 

- Activities of the Center for Vocational Training of the Association and its licensing for conducting trainings on more than 50 new professions;

- Licensing and activities at the Association's Center for Information and Vocational Orientation; 

- Activities of the Association's network of IT-Card Test Centers;

- Strategic planning of the Association's activities having in mind the stage of organizational development of the Association and the changes in the environment; 

- Discussion about the impact the amendments in the Law for Peoples' Chitaslishta and the new Law for Public Libraries will have on the Chitalishta activities.

A focal point in the agenda was the strategic planning of the Association's activities having in mind the stage of organizational development of the Association, the changes in the environment and the profile of each member Chitalishte (its interests, priorities and resources). 

The areas of possible joint activities were outlined as well as the cross points in the activities of the different Chitalishta, members of the Association were noted. As a result of the analysis, the Innovative Communities Center Association could focus its activities in the desired by its members' areas. 

During the meeting an exchange of experience and establishment of new contacts was made with the member Chitalishta of the South Chitalishte Association for Development that had their General Assembly in the village of Sinemorec at the same time. More than 40 representatives of Chitalishta (members of both Associations) had the opportunity to know each other and exchange experience not only during the work sessions but also in informal conversations during their stay. Part of South Chitalishte Association for Development members took an active part and participated in the ICCA work sessions. 

Furthermore, the first joint meeting of both Associations, members of the AGORA Platform ensured an environment for active joint work on strengthening the role of the Chitalishte as a civic organization and a center for community development with cultural, educational, informational, social and civic functions.
